Alice E. Howard, 64, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on January 7, 2014, at Fort Recovery, Ohio. She was born July 1, 1949, in Celina, OH, to the late Cletus B. Weitzel and Mary Ann (Rammel) . On April 30, 1983, she married the late Gary W. Howard , who died April 18, 2011.
Surviving are her mother, Mary Ann Weitzelo, daughter - Kari Howard and her fiancé Steven Paige of Fort Recovery, OH; step daughter - Alicia Nichols of Arcanum, OH; 2 brothers - Lavern (Jane) Weitzel of Fort Recovery, OH, Paul (Cindy) Weitzel of Portland, IN; 3 sisters - Lucy (Leonard) Bruns of Chickasaw, OH, Ruth (Fred) Jutte of Fort Recovery, OH, and Rita (Dave) Tobe of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 grandchildren, Ethan, Jessamyn, and Kyrese; 3 step grandchildren - Peyton, Kennedy, and Trevion; mother-in-law - Hazel Howard of Somerset, KY; brother-in-law - Mark Howard of Somerset, KY; sister-in-law - Kathy Beasecker of Somerset, KY; .
Deceased are infant daughter, Mary Howard, brother, Charles "CW" Weitzel, father-in-law, Harvey Howard, and brother-in-law, Mitchell Howard.
She was employed at the former Jay Garment, Portland, IN, Marwill Products, Fort Loramie,Ohio, and retired from Honda, Anna, Ohio. She also delivered newspapers for the Dayton Daily News for over 15 years.
She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. She enjoyed camping, following the Ohio State Buckeyes, crossword puzzels and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Saturday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, with Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 3:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
