Alvin Sudhoff

Alvin J. Sudhoff , 76, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died August 17, 2012 at his residence.
He was born October 27, 1935, in Fort Recovery, OH, to the late Henry Sudhoff and the late Veronica (Muhlenkamp) . On May 18, 1957, he married Bernice (Schoen), who died December 15, 1974. On July 30, 1976, he married Judith ((Eggeman) Youngpeter Sudhoff, who survives.
Also surviving are 6 daughters - Barbara (Kris) Franchini of Noblesville, IN, Cheryl (Tom) Tobe of Fort Recovery, OH, Rebecca (Tim) Droesch of Vandalia, OH, Carla (Dave) Wendel of Fort Recovery, OH, Jan (Eric) Schoenherr of Coldwater, OH, Kelly (Dave) Laux of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 sons - Mike (Donna) Sudhoff of Fort Recovery, OH, Tony Youngpeter of Fort Recovery, OH, Alan Sudhoff of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 sisters - Irene Link of Fort Recovery, OH, Merilda Fleck of Celina, OH, Mary Knapke of Coldwater, OH; 3 brothers - Herman (Dorothy) Sudhoff of Fort Recovery, OH, Paul (Mary) Sudhoff of Madison, IN, Ray (Margie) Sudhoff of Fort Recovery, OH; 22 grandchildren; and a sister-in-law - Cleo Sudhoff of Coldwater, OH;
Deceased are a sister, Rita Meinerding, and a brother, Alfred Sudhoff.
He was a 1953 graduate of Coldwater High School and spent his life farming and retired. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards, and his family and friends.
He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3324, Fort Recovery, OH. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, Ohio.
The funeral mass is 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Fr. Mark Soellner will officiate. Burial is at St. Anthony Cemetery.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Tuesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
A Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 7:50 pm Monday at the funeral home.
