Alvira C. Kaiser, 96, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on March 29, 2017, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born October 15, 1920, in New Weston, OH, to the late John and Theresa (Hemmelgarn) Obringer. On June 30, 1942, she married Harold J. Kaiser, who died December 22, 1986.
Surviving are her children, Barb (Harry) Schoen of Fort Recovery, Jane (Rich) Evers of St. Henry, OH, Marilyn (Butch) Hummel of Rossburg, OH, Dave (Ethel) Kaiser of St. Henry, Dan (Dian) Kaiser of Fort Recovery, Evelyn (Mike) Kahlig of Fort Recovery, Betty (Ed) Garwood of Decatur, IN, Sharon Wuebker of St. Henry, Dale (Michelle) Kaiser of Fort Recovery, Chuck (Connie) Kaiser of Fort Recovery, and Mary Jo (Steve) George of Clayton, OH; 47 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Ed Obringer of Fort Recovery, Jerry (Carolyn) Obringer of Fort Recovery, Ralph (Charlene) Obringer of Coldwater, OH, Dorothy Denny of New Jersey, and Carl (Mary) Obringer of Fort Recovery; son-in-law, Larry Laloge of Celina, OH; in-laws, Don Kaiser of Greenville, OH, Jack (Jean) Kaiser of North Star, OH, Marie Keaser of Greenville, and Bud (Doris) Kaiser of Fort Recovery.
Preceding her in death are her daughter; Doris Laloge; a great grandchild; son-in-law, Roger Wuebker; sisters, Rosemary (Victor) Metzger and Sr. Casilda Obringer; brothers, Werner (Joan) Obringer and infant brother, Joseph Obringer; sister-in-law, Dorothy Obringer; and brother-in-law, Wilson Denny.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg and it's Altar Rosary Sodality. Alvira also volunteered at the Neurological Center. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, with Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Care, The Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville or The Mercer County Cancer Association.
