Andrew L. Kunk, 47, Portland, Indiana, died April 15, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, IN.
He was born June 11, 1968, in Coldwater, OH, to the late Donald and Jane (Gigandet) Kunk. His mother, Jane Kunk survives in Portland, IN. On November 17, 2001, he married Nancy (Pluimer) Kunk, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Victoria Kunk of Home; a son, Joseph Kunk of Home; three sisters, Rachael (Ron) White of Greenville, OH, Lisa (Jeff) Geesaman of Redkey, IN, and Natalie (Mike) Chapman of Portland; two brothers, Luke Kunk of Portland and fiancé Kelly Kahlig of Fort Recovery, OH, and Damian Kunk of Portland and fiancé Kathie Rockwood, Fort Recovery; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Janet Pluimer of Montpelier, IN; brothers & sisters-in-law, Mike & Tammy Pluimer of Middlebury, IN, Kevin & Jane Pluimer of Van Buren, IN, and John & Erica Pluimer of Montpelier; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are a brother, Nathan Kunk and a sister, Sarah Kunk.
He was a 1986 graduate of Jay County High School, Jay County, IN.
He was the owner of Kunk Construction, Portland, was formerly employed at St. Henry Tile, St. Henry and currently employed at Rutchy Builder, New Weston, Ohio.
He was a member of the Randolph County Antique Club, Tri State Tractor Club, Director of the International Cockshutt Club and Jay County 4-H Council. Andrew was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both of Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Andrew enjoyed collecting antique tractors, playing cards and raising horses.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Tuesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. A Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 7:50 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
