Arthur A. Hemmelgarn

Arthur A. Hemmelgarn, 83, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died February 12, 2012 at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, Sebring, FL.
He was born April 1, 1928, in Dayton, OH, to the late Charles Hemmelgarn and the late Catherine Schmitt. On April 11, 1953, he married Annie (Berning) Hemmelgarn, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons - Gary (Sharon) Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery, OH, Larry (Linda) Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery, OH; 3 daughters - Sharon (Gary) McGlinch of Versailles, OH, Cindy (Jim) Bernard of Montezuma, OH, Janet (Larry) Sauer of Westerville, OH; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law - Becky Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery, OH.
Deceased is brother, Eugene Hemmelgarn.
He was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School, and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3324, Fort Recovery, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Coldwater, Ohio and served as a Gibson Township trustee for 33 years. He also served on the Mercer County Community Hospital Board, Fort Recovery Fire Department Board, the Mercer County EMS Board and was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Funeral mass is 10:30 am, Friday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Paul Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Thursday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
