Catherine M. "Cathy" Hemmelgarn

Catherine M. "Cathy" Hemmelgarn, 62, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died September 27, 2014 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, OH.
She was born January 5, 1952, in Celina, OH, to the late Edward Unrast and the late Marietta (Arling) Unrast. On October 12, 1972, she married Roger Hemmelgarn, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Rick (Stacy) Hemmelgarn of New Weston, OH, Ron Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery, OH, Ryan (Tasha) Hemmelgarn of New Madison, OH, and Randy Hemmelgarn of Fort Recovery, OH; a daughter, Amanda (Ron) Bowers Jr. of Rossburg, OH; two sisters, Agnes McDonald of Beaverton, MI and Doris (Mike) Henry of Maria Stein, OH; two brothers, Al (Carol) Unrast of Osgood, OH and Dave (Nancy) Unrast of Maria Stein, OH; 12 Grandchildren; in-laws, Carolyn (Henry) Reier of Maria Stein, OH, Stanley (Sharon) Hemmelgarn of Ansonia, OH, Les (Betty) Hemmelgarn of St. Henry, OH, Nancy (Dan) Hart of Celina, OH, Ginny (Roger) Thornton of Uniopolis, OH, and Pam (Doug) Westgerdes of St. Joe, OH.
Deceased is a brother, Louie Unrast.
She was a 1970 graduate of Marion Local High School, Maria Stein, Ohio.
She was employed at Priority Plastics, Portland, IN and was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio and it's Altar Rosary Sodality. She formerly served as a choir member and lay distributor for the church. Cathy enjoyed camping and sitting by the campfire. She also enjoyed nightly walks with her rosary in hand and reading. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
