Cody M. Wehnes, 18, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on August 27, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born March 21, 1994, in Coldwater, OH, to Jerry Wehnes and Theresa (Steinbrunner) Wycuff. Mother, Theresa (John) Wycuff survives in Fort Recovery and father, Jerry (fiancée Anna Schwartz) Wehnes survives in Rockford, Ohio. Also surviving are 2 brothers - Joseph (fiancée Anna Dameron) Steinbrunner of Fort Recovery, OH, Alex Wehnes of Fort Recovery, OH; a sister - Emma Wehnes of Rockford, OH; 2 step brothers - John Wycuff Jr. of Coldwater, OH, Jared Wycuff of Coldwater, OH; a step sister - Jessica Wycuff of Coldwater, OH; maternal grandparents - Walter (Karen) Steinbrunner of West Union, OH; and a step grandmother - Hazel Wycuff of Coldwater, OH.
Deceased are paternal grandfather, Jerry Wehnes Sr and paternal grandmother - Darlene Castlen.
He was a Junior at Fort Recovery High School, Fort Recovery, Ohio and he participated in football at the school.
Services are 10:30 am Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, Ohio the Rev. Les Schmidt officiating.
Calling is 1:00 pm-7:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
