Edward A. Kaiser, 99, Moyock, NC and formerly of Fort Recovery, Ohio, died January 27, 2014 in Moyock , NC.
He was born August 16, 1914, in Minster, OH, to the late Henry E. Kaiser and the late Emma (Huber). He married his first wife Dorotha (Faller) on October 26, 1935 in Fort Recovery, Ohio and she passed away on May 24, 2000. On November 9, 2002, he married Phoebe (Hofer) Hudak Kaiser, who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter - Margaret "Peg" (Otmar) Bergman of Celina, OH; 2 sons - Bob (Barbara) Kaiser of Hamilton, OH and Chuck (Linda) Kaiser of Cincinnati, OH; 2 sisters - Marcella Hemmelgarn of Celina, OH and Rosella Hierholzer Moorman of St. Henry, OH; a brother - Herb (Rosemary) Kaiser of Coldwater, OH; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law - Elaine Kaiser of Washington Township, MI; three step children - Linda (Rich) McDonald of Sparta, NJ, Tom (Barb) Hudak of Garner, NC, and Joe (Donna) Hudak of Moyock, NC; and a sister-in-law - Eileen Schmitz of Fort Recovery, OH.
Also deceased is a son, Jerome Kaiser, a grandchild, four brothers, Leo, Bernard, Joseph and Richard Kaiser, and sisters, Stella Broering and Luetta Reichert.
He was employed as a Real Estate Broker in Fort Recovery and was also a former Director of Mercer Savings Bank, Fort Recovery. He retired from the US Post Office as a rural letter carrier after 30 years of service.
He was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Fort Recovery, served on the Maria Stein Retreat House Board of Directors and it's Debt Reduction Committee. He was also a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
