Glenn W. Day Jr., 76, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died July 5, 2011 at Jay County Hospital, Portland, IN.
He was born October 4, 1934, in Union City, IN, to the late Glenn Day Sr. and the late Doris Potter. On July 24, 1955, he married Ardith Butt, who survives.
Also surviving are daughter - Glenna (Terry) Hall of Saratoga, IN; 2 sons - Craig Day of Fort Recovery, OH, Kim (Elaine) Day of Fort Recovery, OH; brother - Larry (Mary) Day of Fort Recovery, OH; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; Sister-In-Law - Norma (Charles) Frederick of Fort Wayne, IN.
Deceased is a brother, Richard Day.
He is a graduate of the former Jackson Ohio High School, Union City , OH and served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed at Westinghouse, Union City, IN.
He was a member of the Fort Recovery United Methodist Church, Fort Recovery and the American Legion and Elks Lodge, both of Union City, IN. Graveside services are 11:00 am Saturday at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Allan Brown officiating. Calling is 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
