Gregor Kahlig

Gregor J. Kahlig, 84, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on March 15, 2013, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born April 25, 1928, in Coldwater, OH, to the late Charles Kahlig and the late Bernadine (Post) Kahlig. On September 12, 1950, he married the late Edna (Heitkamp) Kahlig, who died November 15, 2006.
Surviving are six sons - Mike (Evelyn) Kahlig of Fort Recovery, OH, Marv (Jayne) Kahlig of Portland, IN, David (Ruth) Kahlig of Portland, IN, Don (Linda) Kahlig of Fort Recovery, OH, Mark Kahlig (Theresa DeTomaso) of Fort Recovery, OH, and Luke (Lynn) Kahlig of Fort Recovery, OH; four daughters - Mary (Jim) Wenning of Fort Recovery, OH, Grace (Dan) Jutte of Fort Recovery, OH, Lucie Pohl (Julius Hierholzer) of Fort Recovery, OH, and Karen (Nate) Wenning of Coldwater, OH; a brother - George Kahlig of Coldwater, OH; three sisters - Katie Bruggeman of Coldwater, OH, Mary (Bernard) Siefring of Coldwater, OH, and Margaret Klosterman of Coldwater, OH; 45 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law - Howard Huwer of Coldwater, OH; a sister-in-law - Delores Kahlig of Coldwater, OH; and in-laws - Anna Marie Dircksen of Minster, OH, Mary Ann Heitkamp of Versailles, OH, Luella (Melvin) Rindler of Celina, OH, Marietta (Audrey) Monnin of Botkins, OH, Othmar (Pat) Heitkamp of Maria Stein, OH, and Rosie Heitkamp of Coldwater, OH.
Deceased are a grandchild, a son-in-law, Mark Pohl, three brothers, Raymond, Ralph, and Ed Kahlig, and a sister, Irene Huwer.
He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, March 18, 2013 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, the Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
