Helen M. Heitkamp , 89, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on April 19, 2013, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born November 7, 1923, in St. Peter, OH, to the late Frederick Roessner and the late Anna (Huelskamp) . On April 26, 1947, she married the late Melvin Heitkamp , who died February 26, 2002 .
Surviving are 6 sons - Joe (Esther) Heitkamp of Fort Recovery, Steve (Marie) Heitkamp of Burkettsville, OH, Tom (Kathy) Heitkamp of Fort Recovery, Jack (Edna) Heitkamp of Fort Recovery, Doug (Janet) Heitkamp of Portland, IN, Tony (Valerie) Heitkamp of Fort Recovery; 3 daughters - Sue (Carl) Lange of Celina, OH, Jane (Gene) Westgerdes of Fort Recovery, Angie (Alan) Koester of Fort Recovery; sister - Irma (Ralph) Wuebker of Fort Recovery, OH; 49 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law - Peg Bergman of Fort Recovery, Verla Roessner of Fort Recovery, and Anna Lee (Jack) Kunkel of Newland, NC; .
Also deceased are 3 grandchildren; brothers, Harold, Tony, Joseph, Alvin, Norbert, Chuck, and Linus Roessner; sisters, Joan Roessner and Esther Roessner; and step brother, Paul Wehrle.
She was a 1942 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Celina, OH.
She was a member of the Christian Mother's Sodality of the church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Fort Recovery, and St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, St. Peter, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
