Ida L. Thobe

Ida L. Thobe, 91, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on April 2, 2014, at Celina Manor, Celina, Ohio. She was born March 21, 1923, in Fort Loramie, OH, to the late Frank A. Barhorst and Elizabeth (Ernst) Barhorst. On May 3, 1944, she married the late Jerome Thobe, who died June 17, 2001. Surviving are three daughters, Carol Kunk of Silsbee, TX, Pat (Ron) May of Fort Recovery, and Bonnie Rammel of Fort Recovery; three sons, John (Susan) Thobe of Willow Springs, Missouri, Joe (Deb) Thobe of Fort Recovery, and Jerry "Dutch" (Beth) Thobe of Fort Recovery; 19 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Treva Barhorst of Minster, OH and Romilda Barhorst of Versailles, OH. Deceased are three sons-in-law, Ralph Rammel, Charles Breaux, and Gene Kunk, three brothers, Victor, Richard, and Vernon Barhorst, and three sisters, Esther Miller, Vera Meyers and Dorothy Miller. She was a graduate from Fort Loramie High School, Fort Loramie, Ohio and was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, April 5, 2013 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery. Contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
