James "Jim" Schoenlein , 82, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died December 6, 2013 at his residence.
He was born February 3, 1931, in Coldwater, OH, to the late John Schoenlein and the late Regina (Rohler). On November 19, 1955, he married Betty (Brunswick) Schoenlein, who survives.
Also surviving are 4 daughters - Cindy (Mike) Thobe of Fort Recovery, Missy (Larry) Hart of Fort Recovery, Pam (David) Charbel of Vandalia, OH, and Vickie (Jeff) Miller of Greenville, OH; son - Dan Schoenlein of Lancaster, OH; 2 brothers - Luke (Jenny) Schoenlein of Toledo, OH and David (Irene) Schoenlein of Coldwater, OH; 11 grandchildren - ; 7 great grandchildren - ; in-laws - Kenny (Carolyn) Brunswick of Greenville, OH, Paul (Ann) Brunswick of Raleigh, NC, Jerry (Monica) Brunswick of Dayton, OH, and Tony Bruns of Versailles, OH.
Deceased are grandson, Eric Weidenhammer, sister, Sr. Armella Schoenlein, in-laws, Mauri Brunswick and Joyce Bruns.
He was a 1949 graduate of Coldwater High School, Coldwater, Ohio and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War..
He retired from the former New Idea after 47 years.
He was a member of the Amercian Legion Post 345, Fort Recovery and enjoyed wood working. He was also a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice .
