Jay Hinshaw

Jay M. Hinshaw, 71, Fort Recovery, OH, died Saturday, June 15, 2011, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, OH.
He was born January 27, 1940, in Portland, IN, to Dale Hinshaw and Lucille Whipple. On August 6, 1967, he married Rose E. Hinshaw, who died August 2, 2008.
Surviving are 2 sons - Brian "Scott" Hinshaw of Dublin, Ohio and Craig Hinshaw of Fort Recovery, Ohio; daughter - Kathi (David) Shauver of Fort Recovery, Ohio; 2 brothers - Carl Hinshaw of Portland, IN and Bill (Diana) Hinshaw of Portland, IN; and 4 grandchildren.
He is a graduate of the former Portland High School, Portland, IN, served in the U.S. Army, and retired from Teledyne Portland Forge, Portland, IN.
He is a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Memorial services are 11:00 am Saturday at the church, the Rev. Dennis Kelley officiating. Calling is 9:30 am-11:00 am Saturday at the church.
