Julie A. Morton

Julie A. Morton, 74, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February, 6, 2022, at the Gardens in Celina.

She was born on June 13, 1947, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Mary Ellen (Oswalt) Brewer.

In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dan Schlarman; and an infant grandson, Thomas Morton.

Julie was a 1965 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. She then attended Edison Community College, were she completed her RN. Julie worked for Coldwater Community Hospital for many years as a nurse. In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family and spoiling her beloved dog, Beau. Julie liked to crochet, cook, and watch movies, especially Hallmark movies, westerns, and any show that concerned animals. She was a member of the Teegarden Congregational Christian Church in Ansonia.

Julie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Steve Morton, whom she married on November 14, 1987; her children, Kevin (Nicole Sears) Briner of Vandalia, Ohio, Michelle (Chris) Dirksen of New Weston, Lori (Jeremy Rose) Schlarman of Fort Recovery, Kyle (Molly) Briner of Fort Recovery, Doug (Tanya) Morton of Union City, Indiana, Austin Morton of Greenville, Trey (Kylee Anguiano) Morton of Greenville, and Marissa (Robbie Milligan) Morton of Coldwater; her 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her siblings, Philip (Pam) Brewer, Janice (Jim) Grossman, Craig (Denise) Brewer, and Gary (Linda) Brewer; and her beloved dog, Beau.

A celebration of Julie's life will take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Guests may visit with her family on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service at 10:30 AM, all at the funeral home.
