L.D. Nofziger

L.D. Nofziger, 80, Howe, IN, formerly of Fort Recovery, OH and Defiance, OH, died June 18, 2014 at his home. He was born December 26, 1933 in Archbold, OH, to the late William Nofziger and the late Mattie (Greiser) Nofziger. On November 16, 1990, he married Beth (Rammel) Nofziger, who survives. Also surviving are seven daughters, Victoria (Robert) Bostelman of Napoleon, OH, Laurie (Lowell) Merillat of Defiance, OH, Susan (Nathan) Plassman of Fort Wayne, IN, Ann Witter of Sandusky, OH, Amy (Scott) Seibel of Wauseon, OH, Jennifer (Troy) Weber of Wauseon, OH, and Jessica (Chris) Willitzer of Defiance, OH; a son, William (Jennifer) Nofziger of Shipshewana, IN; two sisters, Loraine Brandenberger of Fort Wayne, IN and Kathryn Briskey of Wauseon, OH; 18 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Also deceased are grandson, Eric Bostelman and brothers-in-law, Martin Brandenberger and Wilmer Briskey. He was a graduate of Archbold High School, Archbold, OH. He was manager of the former Hartwig Poultry, Fort Recovery, OH, was the owner/operator of William L. Nofziger & Son Trucking, Fort Recovery, operated various poultry farms, and has been in the poultry industry for over 65 years. Services are 10:30 am Monday, June 23, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Recovery, OH, Rev. Sharon Stonerock officiating. Private burial will follow on Tuesday, at Pettisville Union Cemetery, Pettisville, OH.
