Margaret "Peg" Bretz

Margaret B. "Peg" Bretz , 89, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died January 5, 2014 , at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born July 11, 1924, in Union City, IN, to Lester and Hazel ( Armacost) Holdeman . In 1946 she married the late Charles "Chuck" Bretz , who died September 28, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter - Cheryl (Ron) Koppelman of Fort Recovery, OH; a son - Dave (Peg) Bretz of Fort Recovery, OH; a sister - Marie Nuss of Troy, OH; in-laws - Larry and Betty Bretz of Russell Springs, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren - Kim, Jeff, Carrie, Greg and Brad; and 10 great grandchildren - Derek, Cody, Cole, Kelsey, Shelby, Ian, Logan, Caden, Adelle and Mara.
Other deceased family members include a son, Greg Bretz, and a brother, John Holdeman.
She is a graduate of the former Wayne High School, Union City, Indiana.
She was employed as a waitress for many years at the former Thobe's and Meinerding's restaurants in Fort Recovery.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Fort Recovery, OH. She and her husband enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cottage located at Hecht's Landing near Celina, Ohio.
Services are 10:30 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allan Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 4:00 pm-7:00 pm Thursday and 9:30 am-10:30 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
