Norma H. Brackman

Norma H. Brackman , 87, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on July 17, 2014, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born March 14, 1927, in Yorkshire, OH, to the late Joseph Mescher and the late Katherine (Walterbusch) Mescher. On April 22, 1950, she married the late Ivo Brackman , who died May 3, 2011.
Surviving are seven children, Mary Ann (Urban) Kaup of Coldwater, OH, Irene (Ralph) Evers of Coldwater, OH, Eileen (Alvin) Homan of Minster, OH, Ruth (Tom) Hays of Rockford, OH, Dorothy (Ted) Stammen of St. Henry, OH, Theresa (Dave) Schroer of Fort Recovery, OH, and Jerry (Pam) Brackman of Fort Recovery, OH; five siblings, Richard (Carolyn) Mescher of North Star, OH, Linus Mescher of Portland, IN, Alfred (Janet) Mescher of Troy, OH, Alfrieda (Glen) Anderson of Universal City, Texas, and Joe (Betty) Mescher of Versailles, OH; 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Leonard Otte of Maria Stein, OH.
Deceased are granddaughter, Rachel Brackman; siblings, Vincent (Olivia) Mescher, Norbert Mescher, Loretta Otte, Wilbert (Carol) Mescher, Rita (Elmer) Siefring, Theresa Mescher, and Elmer Mescher; in-laws, Margaret Mescher, Mary Ann Mescher, Ray (Anna) Brackman, Zeno (Julie) Brackman, Herb (Dolores) Brackman, Marie (Aloys) Buddendeck, and Rita Buddendeck.
She was a homemaker and was active on the family farm in St. Peter, OH.
She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio and its Altar Sodality. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and being with family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, July 21, 2014 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 1:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
