Norma J. Stammen, 88, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on November 9, 2015 at The Gardens at St. Henry, St. Henry, Ohio. She was born November 26, 1926, in St. Rose, OH, to the late Bernard and Clara (Holdheide) Luttmer. On September 17, 1949, she married Werner Stammen, who died October 11, 1976.
Surviving are her children, Diane (Mark) Wehrkamp of Versailles, OH and Jim (Ann "Dodie") Stammen of Fort Recovery, OH; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Luttmer of Yorkshire, OH and Alfred (Pauline) Luttmer of St. Henry, OH; twin sister, Erma Brunswick of Maria Stein, OH; and in-laws Rita Stammen of Fort Recovery, OH, Irene Broering of Russia, OH and Sr. Esther Ann Stammen of Mishawaka, IN.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Stammen; siblings, Wilfred (Norma) Luttmer, Bernard (Marie) Luttmer, and Mercedes (Lawrence) Poeppelman; brother-in-law, Robert Brunswick, sister-in-law, Delores Luttmer; and in-laws, Melvin Stammen and Clarence Broering.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg and the Altar Sodality of the church. Norma took great pride in her cooking and also enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday, November 13, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
Calling is 3:00 pm-8:00 pm Thursday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Friday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
