Roger O. Williams , 66, Trotwood, Ohio, died August 17, 2013 at his residence.
He was born April 4, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late John Williams and the late June (Kinney). On September 1, 1967, he married Twila ((Armstrong)) Williams, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, John (Pauline) Williams of York, PA and Ben (Melissa) Williams of Moberly, MO; 2 daughters, Martha Stalhood of Tipp City, OH and Rebecca (Joel) Homan of New Lebanon, OH; 10 grandchildren; and in-laws, Jan and Mike Hickerson of Fort Recovery, OH and Kurt and Sandi Armstrong of Henryville, IN.
He is a graduate of Brookville High School, Brookville, IN. He received a bachelor's degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and a master's degree from Louisville Bible College.
He served as a Christian preacher in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
He read the entire Bible every year. Being an avid reader, he kept track of the pages he read, averaging over 10,000 per year. He enjoyed reading about American history and the Hardy Boys novels. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He studied hard and preached well.
Services are 1:00 pm Tuesday at the First Church of Christ, Fort Recovery, OH, Rod Beheler officiating. Burial is at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 11:00 am until the time of the service at the First Church of Christ.
