She was born August 28, 1923, in Cranberry, OH, to the late Bernard Meiring and the late Julia Fiely. On September 1, 1945, she married Wilbert Gerlach, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 daughters - Kathy (Don) Hart of Beavercreek, Ohio and Julie (Steve) Bruns of Conover, OH; 4 sons - Ken (Dianne) Gerlach of Naperville, IL, Jim (Anne) Gerlach of Westminster, CO, Gary Gerlach of Columbus, OH, and Tom (Diane) Gerlach of Derby, KS; 2 sisters - Verena (Tom) Humenny of Sacremento, CA, and Esther Hoffpauir of Carthagena, OH; 2 brothers - Joe Meiring of Cathagena, Ohio; and Daniel (Pat) Meiring of Centerville, OH; 10 Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Grandchildren; and Brother-In-Law - Bernard Wahrer of Kettering, OH;
Deceased is a grandson; a sister, Lillian Wahrer; and 3 brothers, Fr. Arnold Meiring C.PP.S, William Meiring and Fr. Bernard Meiring C.PP.S
She was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School.
She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Ft. Recovery and it's Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 AM, Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Sunday and 9:00 AM-10:00 AM Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
