Thomas B. "Tom" Post, 78, Portland, Indiana, died October 14, 2015 at Chalet Village, Berne, IN.
He was born May 14, 1937, in Coldwater, OH, to the late Norbert and Leona (Nieberding) Post. On September 16, 1961, he married Mary Ann (Reitz) Post, who survives.
Also surviving are his five children, Ginny Bartlett of Keystone, IN, Ruthie (Mark) Homan of Fort Recovery, OH, Rick (Teresa) Post of Portland, IN, Peggy (Dave) Alig of Fort Recovery, OH, and Dave (Kelly) Post of Pennville, IN; three sisters, Marilyn Post of Coldwater, OH, Janie (Jim) Timmerman of Fort Recovery, OH, and Marty (Gary) Knapke of Coldwater, OH; a sister-in-law, Pat Post of Lima, OH; and his eight grandchildren.
Also deceased are his brother, John Post and his sister, Marita Post.
Tom served in the U.S Army Reserve. He retired from Portland Industrial Products, Portland, IN. After his retirement, he mowed the lawn at the Golf Club of the Limberlost, Geneva, IN.
Tom was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bryant, IN, and the church's St. Joseph's Mens' Society. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. He placed great value in spending time with his family, and was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bryant, Indiana, with Fr. David Hoying officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Calling is 3:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Memorial contributions can be made to Family Life Care Hospice, Berne, IN.
