Thomas J. Bihn, 61, of Vandalia, Ohio, suddenly passed away on July 23, 2011 of injuries sustained from a tractor accident in Englewood, OH.
He was formerly of Fort Recovery and was born January 22, 1950, to the late John H. Bihn and Cleopha (Fullenkamp) Bihn. Mother, Cleopha survives in Fort Recovery, Ohio. On January 30, 1971, he married Jacqueline (Walton) Bihn, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jeremy (Stephanie) Bihn of Phillipsburg, Ohio, Jacob (Jessica) Bihn of Brookville, Ohio, Adam Bihn of Vandalia, Ohio; a daughter, Sarah (David) Purves of Dawsonville, GA; and his beloved grandchildren Colton, Cora, Lydia, Tristin, Landon, and Josey. He is also survived by three brothers, John Bihn of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Gerald (Becky) Bihn of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Ralph (Kathy) Bihn of Fort Loramie, Ohio; a sister - Linda (Don) Boeckman of Versailles, Ohio; and a sister-in-law - Barb (Dale) Link of Portland, IN.
Deceased are two brothers, Edward and Leonard Bihn, a sister, Susan Bihn, and sister-in-law, Marlene Bihn.
He was a 1968 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, Fort Recovery, Ohio, attended ITT Technical Institute, Dayton, Ohio where he received a degree in architectural engineering.
He operated a public horseback riding facility in Montgomery County, Ohio for 30 years and owned and operated a Tool & Die Company in Montgomery County, Ohio.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 am, Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, the Fr. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Calling is 3:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
