Vaughn A. Denney

Vaughn A. Denney , 89, Riverview, Florida, died January 12, 2014, at Tampa, Florida.
He was born April 21, 1924, in Macedon, OH, to the late William Denney and the late Pearl (Teeters) Denney. He married his loving wife of 27 years, Mabel (Siders) Denney, who is deceased.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Roger Rolewicz of Riverview, FL; granddaughter, Jessica Rolewicz; loving companion - Phyllis Pratt; and sister-in-law - Susie (Gary) Barcus-Bowman.
Other deceased include sisters, Stella Denney, Doris Eifert, and Mona Braun; brothers, Charlie, Robert, Nick, and Jess Denney; and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Gibbs.
He is a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and Ball State University, Muncie, IN, where he received a life time teaching certificate. In 2011, he was honored as the distinguished alumni of Fort Recovery High School.
He retired from Sinclair/Arco Oil Company as vice president.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Services are 1:30 pm Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, OH, the Rev. Roy Hall officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Mausoleum, Dayton, Ohio.
Calling is 12:30 pm-1:30 pm Saturday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Fort Recovery, at the funeral home, following the services.
