Viro E. Will, 94, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died September 20, 2015 at The Gardens at St. Henry, St. Henry, OH.
He was born November 19, 1920, in St. Peter, OH, to the late Lawrence and Theresa (Jacobs) Will. On June 2, 1948, he married Henrietta (Siefring) Will, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David (Norma) Will and John (Diann) Will, both of Fort Recovery; two daughters, Carol (Joseph) Frenzer of St. Henry and Kathy Will of Plantation, FL; four sisters, Rosella (Harold) Broering of Cassella, OH, Sister Laura Will C.PP.S of Dayton, OH, Jane (Gene) Ballweg of Chickasaw, OH, and Sister Patricia Will C.PP.S of Dayton, OH; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Will of St. Peter, OH.
Preceding him in death are a great grandchild, Damon Klenke; and siblings, Anna Marie (Zeno) Diller, Dorothy (Ben) Sliemers, Sister Ruth Will C.PP.S, Rita (Richard) Boeckman, and Luke Will.
He worked in the masonry and construction industry in the area and retired from farming.
Viro was a U.S. Army veteran who sailed over seas on the Queen Mary and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Fort Recovery, and the C.K. of A., St. Joe, Ohio. He served on the board of directors of the former Fort Recovery Equity and was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
He had many passions in life, including farming, hunting and fishing. Viro also enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, the Fr. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion.
