William F. Franck, 72, Portland, Indiana, died February 14, 2016 at his residence.
He was born February 25, 1943, in Portland, IN. On March 8, 1969, he married Jean Franck, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Doug (Sarah) Franck of St. Henry, OH, Randy (Christy) Franck of Berne, IN, and Ted (Nikki) Franck of Burkettsville, OH; a brother Harold (Joyce) Franck, Powell, Wyoming and fifteen grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a grandchild.
He was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and also completed the Dayton Plumbers Apprenticeship Program and was a master plumber.
William was in the US Navy 4 1/2 years and served on the USS Alamo. He was a union plumber for 33 years in the Dayton area and was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Plumbers Union 162, Dayton, Ohio, and a member of the American Legion Post 345 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, both of Fort Recovery, Ohio. Visitation will be held 3:00 pm-8:00 pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Private family services will be held at a later date. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
